Carribean Queen

It is interesting what certain things or people get you through the trials of life. From my previous post, Sister Lata got me though that terrible weekend. A bowl of ice cream got me though folding clothes last night (Just one more sock ball and I can have some ice cream!). I had a series of examinations today, all starting with a "hysto" or ending with a "thingamabob." Bottom line, they were painful. I don't remember the pain from before, kind of like actual child birth right? I laid on the table and just closed my eyes, because who really wants to be in the body position anyway. And then the pain began. Ok, deep breaths, keep your eyes closed. Ok, wave of pain getting stronger, deeper breaths. Scrunching of face. Just stay quiet, it will be done soon, or will it? I feel Byron's hand, oh year, that's right, he's here to support me. I grab on to his hand and try to concentrate on something other than what's going on "down there." "Caribbean queen, Now we're sharing the same dream, And our hearts they beat as one, No more love on the run..." I find myself singing to Billy Ocean's song that is playing too loudly over the PA system. Ok, that helps, keep singing, just not out loud. That would be weird. Finally, its over, the cramping is still there, but now I can sit up. Luckily, everything was fine, Dr. Shaprio was pleased with the results, and we can move on to the next step. But the pain lasted most of the afternoon, helped by 3 Tylenol and a nap.

Ughhh..is all I can say listening to your "hysto" stuff. I can feel the pain (I have bad pain just for my annual). Sucks but its life I guess. The things we'll do to have a family. Btw, this proves that women are so much tougher than men...they would be whining, complaining, and dying if they went through a smidge of what women go through! Oh and social? What's social? Oh is that the thing I used to be? "Social addict" was my nickname in college, but I would love to bring it back by hanging out socially with you Sommer. Sorry you had crappy crampy painful day. Thank goodnessfor pain killers.
